cheers“There is no method, just watch the relationship” – Sheila McNamee
With the start of the holiday season, it’s time to reflect back on the year that has passed by so quickly. It is also time to thank our friends.
First of all I would like to thank all our members, for being there, supporting each other, listening and contributing to each other’s successes. I have noticed new ways of collaboration in our network, and I only hope to see more of it in the coming year. Without you, there would not be a business club.
As we approach the year-end, we want to look back and take this opportunity to recognise and thank someone who has supported WBII since the very beginning.
This is a special ‘Thank You’ to our member Sinéad Hewson of Client Focused Coaching for setting us on the right track back in 2006, and on a regular basis over the years. In January of this year, Sinéad facilitated a meeting to help us identify our goals for 2013.
Through her continuing support, she has guided the WBII to focus on what we do best, i.e., helping women entrepreneurs successfully start and run their business and connect with each other.
We are so lucky to have Sinéad and her expertise in our group, to facilitate some of our meetings and as a motivational speaker.
Sinéad has helped not only the WBII and some of our members, but also international entrepreneurs and multi-nationals, to successfully align their vision, mission and goals, and we are grateful to her for her ongoing support. Thank you so much, Sinéad!
Secondly, I would like to thank my fellow Board Members for their on-going support. They help with a lot of extra activities to run the WBII, and I only hope that they find it as rewarding as I do. We all agree that what we put into the WBII in terms of time and effort, we reap the benefits and rewards in many other ways.
I would also like to thank Sylvie Dermul-Verbrugghe, who works behind the scenes, but without her help, we would be helplessly lost.
Thirdly, I would like to thank our wonderful sponsors, who so generously fund our initiative. We are grateful for their support and belief in our business network. In our opinion, they are all stars!
Last but not least I would like to thank Suzy Ogé. She founded the WBII in 2006 and has moved to Jakarta over the summer. I am thankful for the trust she had in me to take over her presidency. I would not have been where I am today without that trust and belief Suzy had in me.
There is not one way to run the WBII, and my greatest hope for 2014 is that the WBII can continue to support building strong relationships.
On behalf of the Board, I wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year! We hope to see you at one (or all!) of our upcoming activities!
