Bel-me-niet (don’t call me) register starts on 1 October!
Telemarketeers must check the register before calling a consumer. Registered consumers cannot be approached for the period of 3 years. Also telemarketeers must communicate to consumers during each conversation the existence of the register and the possibility to register. The Opta will guarantee the compliance of the new rules.
