Writing has always been a passion of Lianne de Vries (39). Her teacher at High-school advised her to become a book-writer. That’s how she ended up at the School of Journalism in Utrecht. And, chose to start working in the communications industry.
From Dutch origin, Lianne de Vries joined the WBII for the international atmosphere, the possibility to learn from others, co-work with other entrepreneurs and the support WBII offers.
Lianne is a huge ‘Spain’ fan and loves to speak Castellano (Spanish). For almost 5 years she lived and worked in and navigated through the hustle and bustle of the 24/7 exciting capital, Madrid. In 2001 she returned to the Netherlands and got a job at Aviareps BrouwerBetist as Senior Consultant, an agency with a large portfolio in the (international) tourism sector. Working in Marketing and PR for clients as Curaçao Tourism Board, Delta Airlines, P&O Ferries, Martinair, Ebookers and Lastminute.com. In May 2005 she started her own business: MevrouwdeVries (Mrs. De Vries).
MevrouwdeVries advises, writes, produces and assists in communication projects for a number of – mainly Dutch – clients; profit, non-profit and governmental. Such as: Ministry of Finance, VSBfonds, CliniClowns, Cordaid, Dutch Consumer Organisation Consumentenbond/Reisgids (travel magazine), Kuoni and VisitBritain.
Returning to the earlier mentioned passion for writing; up until now a book has never been written, but there are always sprawling ideas, also for a children’s book. Son Sep is the source of inspiration. To be continued.
