A warm welcome if you are new here! Perhaps we had the pleasure of meeting each other at either the ‘Feel at Home in The Hague’ fair, or the ‘ISH’ fair. Please spend a few minutes browsing our website and reading about the benefits of being a member of our business club.
Also, please check out our existing members to see who is already an associate of WBII. One of our members might be an interesting partner for you to meet in order to discuss the provision of a service, or to start a new business relationship in the near future.
Successful September
We had a busy and successful month in September. A number of our members participated in the local expat fairs and represented WBII at the same time. Thank you for your support! Also, the networking evening on the subject of The Mobile Life was very well attended.
Opportunities to do business together
Out of these events, it’s great to see new forms of collaboration coming from our members who are getting to know each other better and see opportunities to do business together. To name only two:
Colleen Reichrath-Smith and Teresa Moynihan are working together to promote workshops on career counselling, and Lisa Hall and Renée Veldman-Tentori are starting to give workshops about social media, which is Renée’s specialty, and WordPress which is Lisa’s.
Someone mentioned that these collaborations are “Power Houses”, and I totally agree. This is one of the reasons to be in our network, i.e., looking for possibilities to grow your business.
New toolkit for fairs and exhibitions
Last but not least, the WBII ‘coaching group’ came together and had a very constructive meeting. They made a so-called ‘toolkit’ that the WBII can use when going to a fair. The toolkit will be available at our office.
The toolkit will be in use already for two upcoming fairs: The Expatica fair on 3 November in Amsterdam (please contact Claudia Pasch for more information), and the International City Podium on 5 November in New Babylon (please contact Akkie Okma for more information).
Opportunities to promote your own business and the WBII
Participating in the fairs are good ways to promote your own business and promote the WBII. Please contact us if you need more information about these fairs. I hope to see you there, and of course at our networking event on 24 October at the Carlton Ambassador.
Have a great day.
