This coming 30 November, on Scheveningen beach, 700 actors will replay the historic arrival of King Willem 1st in 1813. It will be the start of the 200 years celebration of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
I am just wondering what King Willem’s thoughts must have been 200 years ago, while standing on that ship with his hair waving in the cold November wind. What were his expectations, what was his plan, and did he have any idea with whom he was going to collaborate?
Activities in November
The start of November has been busy and successful for us.
We joined again two very well-attended fairs, the Expatica Fair in Amsterdam, and the International City Podium in The Hague, and as a result, we would like to extend an especially warm welcome to the many new subscribers of our monthly newsletter.
Being part of the Women’s Business Initiative International gives your business exposure, and will help to lead to new opportunities. Feel free to check our website and connect with our members. Our member Renée Veldman-Tentori of Zestee Social Media School recently reached out to others, as a recent example.
Later this month, we have our network event on 28 November on the subject of how to set up your business administration.
Also, I would like to ask your attention for the initiative of two of our members who are raising money for the Philippines, with Images to Inspire Hope.
Save the Date for our Festive Holiday Lunch!
Last but not least, a team of members have found the perfect location for our Festive holiday lunch on 19 December. Please save the date, and plan to join us!
I think King Willem would have been pleased to know that our women’s business club is going strong! Looking forward to meeting you soon!
