Rise & Lead Summit and Awards 2023
This year’s Summit is all about breaking barriers, building bridges and unleashing the power of inclusive leadership. Every year the organisation brings together some of the most inspiring and authentic leaders for a 2-day event to share ideas and knowledge. The Rise & Lead Summit sets the tone for companies and individuals with senior executives and experts sharing their wisdom, knowledge and strategies around current DEI trends, leadership and business development, with actionable insights. As the WBII, we are proud partners of this annual Summit that always leaves its visitors with a wide range of valuable learnings and powerful connections.

The Equals community has opened its newest location in The Hague
At the beginning of September, the Amsterdam-based Equals team opened its second clubhouse in the Netherlands. It chose the wonderful Titaan building as its newest location in The Hague. As Titaan was opening its doors for the first time that day as well, the event became a Grand Opening of both. Equals supports women in the growth and development of their careers, by offering them a space to work and learn together. Titaan is a vibrant space that promises to be a hub of creativity, innovation and collaboration. The combined Grand Opening featured various exciting activities and networking opportunities as well as a chance to explore this dynamic new space with like-minded women in The Hague.

Nederlandse Vrouwenraad (NVR) is celebrating its 125th anniversary
The Women’s Council Netherlands (NVR) is a collective of organisations concerned with improving the position of all women in the Netherlands. The council was founded in 1898 and since then it has collectively been working towards a society in which women and men are equal. It connects and represents more than 50 organisations, from political women’s networks to ‘single-issue’ movements, from networks for women in business to service clubs and from young feminist initiatives to organisations for socially critical senior women. Like the WBII, the NVR has members all over the Netherlands who represent women from all social, economic and cultural backgrounds.
