Portrait of Anna MolnárIn this instalment, we interview Anna Molnár of Blossom Empowering Events.

Tell us about your business:
Blossom Empowering Events (BEE) empowers personal development of international female entrepreneurs who love to read, to unleash their potential, harvest their wisdom & reach their desired goals, so that they can enjoy the business and the life they’ve created, without feeling guilty.

What 5 words would you choose to describe your business?
Empowering, blossoming, connecting, surprising, intelligent

What do you like best about owning a business?
Owning a business is a wonderful ride: full of ups and downs. Very confronting. A perfect way to get to know yourself better, while helping others. Entrepreneurs are eager to learn, to create, to connect and to try out. It’s wonderful to work with them, especially with female entrepreneurs who are not just in the business for themselves, but for their own community, be it big or small. I love the energy of the entrepreneurial world.

What or who inspired you to start your business?
My inspiration came from my gut feeling. It was so strong that I couldn’t deny it.

What motivates you on a daily basis?
The conviction that I can help women to blossom again and again.

What advice would you give women who are starting a business?
Start! Ask for advice from people you know who own a business. Ask for help. Find a support group. Inform yourself with books, courses, seminars etc. Build your network. Ask questions. Keep on going. When something fails, find out what you could do differently next time. Keep on going.

What is your favourite business book?
“Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert. It’s not about business, but about creativity. A skill you absolutely need to be able to create products and services your clients will love. Another very important classic, essential to stay and grow in business, is “Mindset” by Carol Dweck. A life changer.

How do you maintain a work/life balance?
My favourite way to maintain a work/life balance is by planning relaxing activities into my calendar I very much look forward to. This is the easy part. The tricky part is to be able to enjoy these activities, without being continuously distracted by work and feeling guilty of not being productive. Fortunately I know how to tackle this part as well.

Are you involved in any charities?
Yes, I believe in giving back to society, in one way or another. Right now I coach a refugee who’s learning Dutch and wants to start an education in health care. I support her in preparing for the one year course to become an assistant and in coping with the challenges that come her way. Very rewarding.

Are you running any offers or promotions that you would like us to mention?
I’m continuously developing and organising something special to empower female entrepreneurs who love to read and would like to have a better work/life balance. Please visit my website and sign up for my newsletter to get updates about my latest offers and ideas: www.blossomempoweringevents.nl
