We ask our members to share a few thoughts: to introduce themselves to fellow members, and those who are interested in our community.

In this installment, we interview Chungmei Cheng of Orchid of Life.

Tell us about your business:
I guide highly sensitive people to connect them with their inner Jaguar, natural self-esteem and intuition. We will work through what is blocking you from being your authentic self on a mental, emotional, physical and energetic level.

What 5 words would you choose to describe your business?
Openness, compassion, connection, respect, responsibility, creativity and synchronicity.

What are your most popular products or services?
At the moment the coaching & rebirthing trajectories focused on deep transformative healing processes are most popular. What I would like to do more of are trajectories focused on intuitive development leading to a smooth, effortless synchronic life.

What or who inspired you to start your business?
My Chinese family. I grew up among many business owners and as a child I overheard a lot of talking about how to do business. Come to think of it, they never told me to start my own business, they wanted me to become a lawyer, banker or doctor. Somehow life led me to become a type of ‘doctor’, but then a holistic one specialised in emotional development.

What makes your products/services special?
What definitely makes it special is that we work through what hurts most. When one overcomes the core pain it will lead to positive developments in many areas in life.

Who is your role model or mentor?
The one person who has inspired me to be who I am is my aunt. She is my mother’s little sister. She was the one who showed me that there is more to life than working 24/7. Even though she was a busy bee herself, she was able to take us to the beach, swimming, shopping in The Hague city centre and to the cinema and musicals. She allowed us, seven kids in total and four of her own, to turn over every piece of furniture to build huts. It was an out of the ordinary Chinese family’s playground a la Pipi Longstocking. She created the space in which she let me do and feel whatever I came up with.

What advice would you give women who are starting a business?
To keep on talking about what you do and invite or offer people to come over and experience your work, product or service.

How do you relax?
I recently picked up one of my passions which is dancing. Cooking also relaxes me. Good food in general, preferably shared with family, friends and actually anyone who enjoys good food. One of my newest hobbies is having a swim in the sea.

What are your future plans?
Write books and create video and meditation courses.

Are you running any offers or promotions that you would like us to mention?
Reset the way you breathe Discover how you can change your breathing to experience more physical energy and clarity of mind. Your breathing reflects how you think and the tension that you are holding on to. In this session it’s about how you currently breathe and how you can improve or reset the way you breathe with help of a daily breathing practice.

Thank you Chungmei Cheng!
