‘Believe in yourself.’ A phrase we’ve all seen countless times – on social media, coffee mugs, printed on t-shirts, maybe even heard it from our mothers. Sounds simple, right? If only. Often, our walls are lined with diplomas, and we have years, if not decades, of professional experience. Yet,sometimes, a little voice of doubt still arises before we launch a new project, approach a dream client,or explore a new direction in business.
There might be many reasons, but very often it’s the fear of letting down those who have trusted us. It’s understandable, because trust is the foundation of everything, both in life and in business. We trust our loved ones, our colleagues, and our clients, hoping they’ll meet us with the same integrity and care we offer them.
In business, our clients trust us with their ideas and their ambitions. They rely on us to guide them forward – to take them one step closer to where they want to be. But before we can earn their trust, we must first trust ourselves.
That quiet inner voice, our intuition, reminds us that we can do it. When we connect deeply with our own sense of trust, we project that confidence outward – and others naturally follow. That’s how we build lasting relationships with our clients.
At our upcoming event, ‘The Two Sides of Trust, Building It Around You and Within You’ on October 29, Marjolein van der Kruk will guide us in reconnecting with ourselves, enabling us to strengthen our inner trust and, in turn, build more authentic, lasting connections with our clients.
